Wine Tasting
One thing to keep an eye out for if you're a wine enthusiast is the wine tasting or “Inoteca Aperte” events at La Cambusa. Vito and Rosaria will “Open their Cellar” to bookings for Groups of Visitors on vacation or passing through Stresa. Visitors can taste fine wines and sample some of the local delicacies including 10 year old olive oil and balsamic vinegar. It is also a great opportunity to get a peek at this cavern of delights and enjoy the amazing selection of goods including typical italian herbs and spices, colourful pastas, risottos, hand made biscuits, chocolates and of course a stunning collection of gorgeous wines and liquors in wonderful surroundings.
To book a ‘wine tasting experience’ at La Cambusa just telephone or email 10 days in advance for confirmation. La Cambusa can take up to a maximum of 25 people for this event but have also done smaller groups where the minimum numbers should be no less than 6 guests. The event should be booked in advance either with your tour operator, or via your Hotel and you should allow at least one hour including the tasting and also to give yourself plenty of time to browse and shop in this delightful Wine and Food Emporium.
